Activités de recherche :

1 – Ingénierie et optimisation des procédés
composites par thermo-compression et formage gonflage, en particulier basé sur l’utilisation de deux pilotes procédés :

     – le pilote EDyCO (Élaboration Dynamique des Composites) mettant une presse de thermo-compression équipée d’outillages chauffés par induction selon la technologie CageSystem et 3 iTech (technologies brevetées par RocTool)

     – le pilote de formage lampe permettant un chauffage de préformes par lampes infra-rouges, in-situ dans la chambre de gonflage-formage.

2 - Étude, développement et caractérisation de matériaux composites multifonctionnels
(mécanique, blindage, thermique, électromagnétique) incluant en particulier de nouvelles fibres (basalte, …) et
textures (tricotées, ..) ainsi que des tapis de nanotubes de carbone (collaboration avec le CEA Saclay).

3 – Étude expérimentale, identification et modélisation des cinétiques de polymérisation de composites thermodurcissables et des cinetiques de cristallisation
de composites thermoplastiques ; implantation des modèles dans des codes Éléments Finis (ABAQUS) ; développement sous Matlab de procédure d’identification et de logiciel d’aide à  la définition de cycles (RETICULATOR)

4 – Recyclage de matériaux composites : reformulation de composites à  partir de de fibres de carbone issue de composites traité par vapo-thermolyse

5 – Simulation de procédés composites (simulation de polymerisation, de la cristallisation, contraintes internes) et métalliques (formage superplastique de tôles aluminium et titane)

6 - Mise en forme par formage superplastique de tôles métalliques : modélisation du comportement thermo-elasto-visco-plastique cyclique des outillage et développement d’un procédé innovant de formage-gonflage de tôles en alliage de titane et d’aluminium.
