* Crack arrest capability under impact loading of (mild, high strength) steels, lightweight (Aluminum, Titanium) alloys, polymers

 

* Modelling of adiabatic shear banding-assisted failure of structural materials under high strain rate and impact loading
* CZM-XFEM combination for the numerical treatment of ductile failure of structures
